Dear Dr. Guillory,
I am truly inclined to believing that I must incorporate these principles in every area of my life in order to enhance my level of spiritual living. I thank and commend you for sharing these principles as well as this site with the general public. However, I must admit that my primary purpose for corresponding is of a personal nature. I, like many others, am a survivor of Katrina. I first became aware of your existence, and your works, after reading an article in the Times Picayune as it relates to the evacuees in Utah. The article so moved me, that I wanted to learn more about your publishings.Conversely, I visited your website, and to my astoundment, my very core was shaken. You see, I was in the midst of having to make some serious life altering decisions, not unlike most of the survivors, which were causing me much unrest. When I read about the "Animal Kingdom" and the "Twelve Principles", it gave me a realization, or as I choose to say, a "spiritual awakening", that I am not powerless. God has granted me the power and ability to choose to accept the things in which I cannot change, change what I can, and the wisdom to know the difference! Having had that epiphany after slowly and carefully reading the principles, has catapulted me into action - making decisions that are best for me and "My Soul", regardless of what others' opinions may be.
This comment was posted December 31st. Beyond the epiphany this individual had is the empowering decision to move on with his or her life. I think we can all be inspired by this message. Because of this moving message, I chose not to write anything today. Thanks to all of you who have visited this site and contributed comments. I hope you have gained sufficient value to return in 2006.
Happy New Year to everyone!
